40 years ago, award winning filmmaker Phil Agland went to the Congo Basin to create a film about the Baka, one of the oldest human civilizations on Earth. 

The story focused on one remarkable Baka family who let Phil into their lives in unprecedented ways.  This friendship has endured for forty years, producing two award winning films in 1989 and 2012 spanning five generations of this one family. 

There is no equivalent film project for any indigenous community on Earth.
