Spring 1945. 400 000 German and 305 000 Soviet soldiers died in the Battle of the Oder. On the former front line, located 100 kilometers from Berlin, a country took root, mixing victorious armies, defeated people, fleeing Nazis and looters of all origins… It’s still known today as the Wild West, on the border between Poland and Germany. Protagonists from a « film noir » world relate the story. They are cab drivers, Russian truck drivers, Polish cigarette sellers, prostitutes, boys on the verge of adulthood, and border guards.
